Ghusl after pap smear

Question

As-Salaamu alaikum I would like to know if a fardh ghusl is required after the gynae has done an internal exam like a pap smear. Wasalaam

With reference to your query, please be informed as follows:

  1. After an internal examination by a gynecologist, there is no need for a farḍ ghusl.
  2. As a rule, ghusl becomes fard in a limited set of circumstances. These are:
    • After sexual intercourse
    • After the emission of seminal fluid
    • After menstruation
    • After childbirth, if there is no post-natal bleeding
    • After post-natal-bleeding
    • After death
  3. Anything other than these six reasons will not cause ghusl to become obligatory.

And Allah knows best.
